I'm bored and in a minute I'll be trying again to fall asleep.
What I'd like to know is what color, colors, or patterns are your favorites for manicures?
I've had the same sack of colors of nail polish for too long and I keep gravitating to the same colors. I could use some inspiration.
Right now my nails are painted a fabulous deep blue. Somewhere between a royal and a navy.
I've done patterns ranging from marbleized orange with pink and purple, to designs similar to a fabrege egg (I don't know how to put in the accent mark), to holographic rainbow colors with black zebra striping.
Looking forward to any posts so I can go shopping. I like shopping. 8)

I like doing my nails in ridiculously bright colors - electric blue, hot pink, neon green, etc. As well as solid black or white. Sometimes I also like to pick two colors and alternate between them on each finger, such as a pink thumb, blue index, pink middle, etc.

I don't get my nails done, though I like seeing women with pea green nails. :P :D

I love using crackle nail polish, and glitter. Nothing too showy, but I don't like it to be boring. I'll paint my nails any color but red.

I've just put some purple nail polish on, I wear pink nail polish sometimes but I've never liked red though.

I like purple or TARDIS blue. Or anything with a matte topcoat really. If you want inspiration, this is one of my favourite sources for that.

I don't wear pearly or glittery finish ones, I prefer opaque colours. One I really like at the moment is 'Dove' by Zoya which is a nice neutral and the most recent one I bought is called 'Life Preserver' by China Glaze which is a burnt orange but not too bright; I have to be feeling confident to wear the latter as it's a bolder colour. I like taupes aswell. Also I did try a water based one but I can't get it to stay on for any length of time, I might try again because I don't like the smell of nail polish and that one was almost odour free.

My favourite colours are usually purples, black and creamy coral pinks.

None. I don't really like having painted nails. My Mum does, though.

I'm considering trying the burnt orange, creamy coral pink and crackle options.
What are some brands you recommend?
How do I use the crackle type so that it looks crackled and not just chipped and messed up?
I have the brand/color for the orange. (Thanks, Identity) Hope I can find it. :D

Thanks for the link. Where does one find TARDIS blue?

Put a little water in it to thin the mixture out, and just apply one coat. It should crackle after a few seconds. Let it dry and put a clear coat over it.

(And you need a smooth coat of regular nail polish underneath.)

A good brand of nail polish is OPI.

I don't polish my fingernails, but I like deep but vibrant orange on my toenails.

It's mainly just a dark blue with a matte overcoat. I bought this in a make up shop in London I think. Didn't realize it was perfect until I put on matte top coat and voilà. Matte top coat could easily experiment on any dark blue.

I forgot to say, has anyone tried a half moon manicure? I'm not really into the nail art thing but I'd like to have a go at that one when I'm feeling patient!
