Almost every time I check my facebook someone has posted something like "today is the first day in the rest of your life" ore "smile and the word smiles back at you" today someone wrote you can "Wipe out the footsteps you dont like and create a new road" That does not even make sence to me..Am I the only one that think this is just annoying?

Yup. I often post something sarcastic in response, like "Smile and the world goes 'go away, wierdo"

A stitch in time puts the thread in the correct forum. :P

YEssssssssss! I hate those so much! I always want to reply with something sarcastic or contradictory like TonyHoyle does but I don't like conflict and confrontation.

Most of these "inspiring" messages are mundane common sense things and I get annoyed that people who post them get so excited as if they've never ever considered the concept that, say, for example, counting your blessings make you happy.

It's worse than annoying; it's a display of uncaring disinterest. Why get involved in someone else'e problems when you can just flip off a few homilies and go on about your merry way?

lol... I don't like them either. People who pass them out are about on the same level with fortune cookies, except that you can at least eat the fortune cookies. I bet there would be a lot less of it if some of the motivational spammers were eaten.

Since it's a recent thread, it's still listed on the main page. Because you moved it, however, when someone clicks on the thread in the main page, it says the post can't be found.

It's not just this post, this is what happens whenever a new thread is hastily moved. The link on the main page won't work because the post is now in a new location.

Hey man, that's stinkin' thinkin'. You gotta think positive and turn that smile upside down. You know, when life hands you lemons, make lemonade. And add some sunshine to you day.

A kind word and a gun will always get you more than just a kind word.

I don't like those quotes either but I like changing them slightly sometimes~ "everyday is the 1st day of the rest of your life except for the day you die"

lol. That may be the coolest little puppy I have ever seen.

But I do have to say there are a few sayings out there I find still hold value, still are profound, even if often said. 'Kill or be Killed' is one that comes to mind.

I like the Klingon saying "today is a good day to die". They don't specify for who

Your Avatar reminded me of my favorite movie saying
