I'm making this thread to discuss aftershave and cologne (or perfume, I guess, if you're a girl) so talk about your favorite aftershaves and colognes here, and what you currently use, and suggestions for others interested in them.

Anyway, my first aftershave I've used for the past two years or so has been Adidas Pulse.

Well, today, that bottle was almost out, so I decided to try the polar opposite type of aftershave. Old Spice Classic! However, after reading on the shaving forum I go on, they said that Proctor and Gamble reformulated Old Spice so that it's worse, and that oddly, you can buy a knockoff of the real Old Spice at Family Dollar for a little over a buck that's actually closer to the original Old Spice formula than the new P&G Old Spice (How do they know? Someone on the forum actually paid a lab to test it, srs business.) So I figured for $2, why not, right? I'm pretty happy with it, it smells nice. Old Spice seems much more suitable as like, a winter or fall scent, probably not good for summer, though.

So Adidas is a more like "sporty" aftershave, I guess better for a young person. But I figured Old Spice was worth a try. Now I might try knockoff Brut, as the knockoff Brut is more like the old Brut, too. I don't know really what else I should try on my limited budget.

For colognes, my favorites I've tried were very good knockoffs of Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger (red?), and Drakkar Noir. I probably like Tommy Hilfiger red the most. I don't wear it anymore, as my source for knockoffs went away, I could order a whole store display case of knockoffs if I wish, though.

So, what aftershaves and colognes does everyone wear here, and any suggestions for me to try?

I don't wear any. Can't stand the smell and they irritate my skin too.

I wear cheap (but still decent-smelling) colognes/body sprays like Perceive, Brut, Polo, Bod Techno, Axe Phoenix and Kilo.

Lacoste "challenge" and Burberry "Brit", are both absolutely timeless fragrances. I adore them...

I like the aftershave that used to come in a blue bottle that was shaped like a car.

I don't mind aftershave and other fragrances, providing the smell isn't overbearing. I like using lacoste essential.

I don't wear any. Even my soap and deodorant are unperfumed.

I rarely wear any, and if I do very little is used. Usually a dab or two on the neck. I don't have any right now, lost em', I usually get some on holidays but I never use it. I need to talk to my family/friends about that... There was one I actually liked though, used to be really advertised in commercials, I can't remember the name. It had a unique citrus smell to it.

Agreee

I am allergic, some times. I really hate when people stink of perfume (whether they call it after shave or not). The worst thing is to sit down next to somebody in the train etc. and then the smell of their perfume is just all over the place. Just a hint of perfume can be ok (on my good days and if the person do not smell of smoke), I like BOSS Number 1, I do not like Old Spice.

Personally I sometimes use rose oil as a "scent" but only those people that get really close can smell it

Guess my sense of smell is better than most people?

Same here. I don't like anything that is scented and so I only use Ivory soap and plain Suave shampoo. Anything else annoys me because of the scent.

BTW I mostly like the scent of human, if it is not overpowering. I like the smell of goats as well :)

Tell me about it. Another one is when they walk past and you are hit by this wave of perfume strong enough to strip paint. TBH I think BO would be less offensive...

Not only that, but strong perfume or cologne makes me dizzy and light-headed. We use only unscented cleaning products around the house. If I ever lost the Missus, I would have a terrible time dating, even hair mousse has the same effect. It's quite the affliction.
