I was listening to Joe Satrianis album "Is there love in space?" and started wondering...
What are the chances of emotional life in space? Scientists are very certain that there is organic life in space. But I wonder, is there love in space? Are there individuals such as you and me on other planets and are they at the same emotional level as we are?

What do you people think?

I would imagine that there are several thousand planets in this galaxy alone that have life like that, several thousand more that have a lower quality of love than us, and several thousand others that are far more evolved than we are, and laugh at the lowly apes as they stumble through the motions of what they would consider to be a disgustingly primitive form of affection.

Where life needs to procreate, there is love.

The amount of genetic code to change the default biological setting female to male is
getting smaller with time. So it is theorized that women could infact a-sexual reproduce
in the future. So love between mating pairs maybe a rare thing if asexual reproduction
is common in the universe.

There's no luv in space, because we are alone ....

The probability of life is so vanishingly small, if it exists, it's probably on the order of dolphins.

Yeah I was talking to my brother-in-law who ran Seti software on the large array of
computers he admin at a large university, anyway we both came to the conclusions
the odds are so remote of detecting a message that its basically pointless to look. 100% chance there is life out their but it maybe that two worlds in which evolution has happen have/or rarely communcate with each other. If self - replicating machines are
evolutions end game (as my user name suggest) then the day we learn of other life
may infact be a small probe that land and begins coping itself(and we will try our best to stop it). Though that maybe 1 billion years from now or more.

or are there people in love in another planet who go to space and experience love in space and wonder if there are other planets where they experience love and if they think its possible for those in space who do love to love and if the planet of origin of said space lovers also contains love and if overall that there are people in love in another planet who go to space and experience love in space and wonder if there are other planets where they experience love and if they think its possible for those in space who do love to love?

well?

Keep in mind that astrologers and scientists can only "view" a fragment of the universe. There is endless lightyears we havent discovered and the thought of the earth being the only planet where life blooms is kind of insane in my opinion.

Yeah 15 billion light years back to the point of the big bang. In that amount time a
super technological power could have came to power billions of light years away. But
untill we can talk of faster than speed light travel its pointless if they knew precisely
where we were. They might get their first message to us when our sun dies of old age.

Maybe there is a reason why a possible "second-earth" so far a way. Maybe the aliens are evil! Maybe there isn't love in space after all, and thats why the planets are so far away from each other... 8O

Letting my imagination run wild...

Call me insane, then ! ! (The line forms to the left, please.) I get this opinion from research that indicates life would need not just an earth-like planet and conditions, but would also need to be protected by giant planets like Saturn and Jupiter protect us.

As for Seti, the idea that we could pick up signals is ridiculous. Little green men in shades, tapping away at intergalactic telegraph keys ! !! Indeed.
