For people that have been to belgium, is this true?

"First of all, the people here are arrogant, lifeless, apathetic and racist robots. They have no feelings! Not a single feeling! Feelings don't exist to them! They are f*****g robots! I asked a Belgian why the f**k Belgians stare at the floor in an elevator like a bunch of asocial s**theads! You know what two Belgians told me?! "It's impolite to stare at people you don't know." Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know staring at the floor was polite!! What the f**k kind of monsters are these people?! Second, the taxes! The horrible taxes! You pay over 40% taxes! What the f**k is that?! YOU WORK YOUR ASS OFF SO YOU CAN PAY THE GOVERNMENT?! WHAT?! That money is for me?! f**k no it isn't. Third, this country is f*****g depressive. Everyone knows it. My aunt who has been living here for 20 years now knows it. She was a happy and colorful person in Portugal, but now look what's turned of her. She now has a severe depression. She suffers from depression and when I ask her: "Hey auntie, how's today" she says "no f*****g different from any other day". Belgium has a suicide rate of 3000 suicides per year on average. What the f**k?! You know why that is? You know why?! Because everyone is such a f*****g robot here!! I can't express it enough!! I saw it on the news as well. You know what happens to you when you get old in this country?! First of all, employers ignore you because you're "too old to work". Secondly, people who reach the ages of 70 and older they end up being lonely as hell. No friends. Every single person you knew, left you. That's how Belgians are. They desert people. They are f*****g asocial dickheads. They only laugh with each other's stupid f*****g jokes. They only socialize with EACH OTHER. Get it?! They are f*****g racist towards EVERYONE!! ! No one is f*****g welcome here. I've been studying here at a university for two years now and guess what! I f*****g HATE working in teams. You know why? Today I sat down next to someone of my group and he said: "Can you please not sit next to me. I'm working with someone else." - while that someone else wasn't even there yet. How f*****g brutal. Then another guy told me off as well. You know why? Because I'm a foreigner. Believe it or not. They only want to work with their own sad sap f*****g little puny worthless type called 'Belgians'. I go to gym every day. They have milky arms, all of them. Stupid f*****g spoiled brats. "My daddy got me a new ipad". f**k YOU. What a f*****g prick. Should have f*****g smashed that loser's face right then and there. And guess what hm?! Each member of the team was talking to each other about how fun it was hanging around each other's place (house). That means they excluded me. Why? Racism, once again. They only like to hang out with their f*****g sad, skinny, pathetic selves. Belgians are fugly. That's another thing. The streets are ugly and they smell. That's another. One of the major annoyances of this f*****g s**t country is ADMINISTRATION, SPEED OF ADMINISTRATION and GENERAL MANNERS. Bus drivers are f*****g as*holes. If you want to get a document or a problem fixed here, be prepared to spend months on it. You spend hours in waiting lines, you get blamed by clerks for s**t you didn't do. You don't even get clarified why. They act like it's your fault. People are unfriendly. That's an understatement. I've been going to this sports club for seven years now. I've known THE SAME f*****g PEOPLE over there. And you know what?! NONE OF THEM!! EVER!! FUCKIGN!! INVITED ME!! ANYWHERE!! OR f*****g BOTHERED TO INVITE ME OVER FOR A DRINK OR ANYTHING!! NOT EVEN OUTSIDE!! AS SOON AS TRAINING ENDS, THEY f*****g SPLIT LIKE ANTS FROM FIRE!! Sorry that I yelled it out, but it f*****g frustrates me. This country frustrates me. Yes, even traffic is backward. Tram drivers they f*****g annoy the s**t out of people with that annoying bell DING DING DING DING DING! Give me a break. This country sucks the life out of you. It's not even a country. It's f*****g hell. It's like World"


I seem to be reading a lot of negative press about belgium, coming from people who had been visiting it as expats and living here for a while, then moved out...

How is your experience with belgians in general or with belgium?

Do you agree with all that has been said in that blog?

Because if yes, then I really have to get my ass out of here lol.

I'm not going to read through all that silly negative ranting.

I lived and worked in Antwerpen for about a year when I was 25 and really liked it there. I can't move for practical reasons at the moment, but I've been considering buying a house in Flanders.

I still can't remember which part of Belgium I visited. It just wasn't the part where all the houses look like tall boxes - this place had much more character. All I remember was that everyone was very friendly and I felt fairly included, so I didn't notice anything asocial about them.

Hmm, everyone looks at anyone but each other in a lift - otherwise it's *very* awkward.
