It's all about crying. Here you can simply discuss your attitudes towards it.
----
As an adult, I almost never cry now; even when someone close to me dies. (Even in that instance, I just smile, and say, "It was great to know ya..... and see ya on the other side". and NO, I'm not being heartless, I'm being appreciative and grateful towards that person.)

The only time I tend to do it now is I tend to hear a song so beautiful and touching......... I shed a few tears.

I'm unable to process anger. As a child I used to strike out, but since I'm older now and that wouldn't be acceptable I'll always end up crying to release it instead. When I do cry it only lasts a few moments, since I always end up having laughing fits at myself instead because of how ridiculous I sound.

I usually find myself unable to cry in situations where it is expected of me (at funerals, for example). I think I cry much less than other women, and whatever happens, I will try very hard not to cry in public, because I can't stand public displays of emotion. In fact people that cry very often and openly make me agressive, I think that's rather pathetic.

When I cry though, it's often because I'm actually angry, mostly when I feel like I've been treated unjustly. Sometimes, when I'm alone, I cry when I miss something from the past, and then it might actually take pretty long, up to hours.

I also cry over sad movies sometimes, though it's rather seldom and usually just a few sobs. Oh and when I have a bad meltdown, because I feel so helpless and overwhelmed.

I cry nearly constantly. It is a byproduct of 4 non-NT people living on one measly paycheck and having to choose between toothpaste or toilet paper, medication or food (of course, toilet paper and food win--it'd be pretty gross to have the food and not the TP). It is only a problem when someone sees me, though.

I'm 29, male and I would say I cry a lot. Recently it's usually been a few times a week. I really can't deal with emotions and countless hours of therapy hasn't fixed that (though that was before we suspected I was not NT so maybe therapy which is useful for NTs is not so useful for me). It's mainly when I get really angry or frustrated at something. For example a couple of days ago I got out of my car and somehow when I went to lock the car door the car key was no longer attached to my keyring. I spent 15 minutes searching frantically and didn't find it and ended up so frustrated that I was kicking things around the garden, shouting, swearing and crying. Eventually it turned up when I move the driver's seat forward and looked in the back again.

I cry from time to time. I don't cry every single day, though. If my feelings are hurt or somebody passes away, I'll cry.

I cry out of frustration, and sometimes when I'm furious. When I'm sad I just don't say anything, not even to friends.

I still cry, mianly whenever there's something to get really upset about, or when I'm being shouted at or told off.

I can't cry in public or around other people, unless I'm a complete mess at that moment.
Even on my own, I don't think I cry very often. I do cry when something bad happens to animals though. Also, unexpected genuine kindness (not necessarily towards me) or exceptional beauty can make me emotional enough to get teary.

I hate being such a sensitive person, because I cry over the most trivial things. I hate crying in front of other people because they wouldn't understand why I get so upset over the things that I do. The only time I feel comfortable crying in front of others is if there's a good reason, like if someone I know dies/is in the hospital/is in jail.

I cry all the time. I cry when I'm sad, stressed, afraid, trapped, hopeless, helpless, or moved by something beautiful. I consider crying to be natural and I don't normally force myself not to cry, that would prove difficult anyway.

I cry during movies when I can feel their emotions or when I can relate to what they are going through. I mourned the loss of a favorite TV character for three days. I cried for a night because of the end of a movie where almost everyone died.

I'm a very emotional person and it doesn't help that I have depression. That just adds to the frequency of my crying. I can say that I've cried some every day this week. It's easy for me to get caught in cycles of reliving whatever triggered me to cry in the first place, especially if I'm worn out.

Interesting. The times I've cried out of sadness, grief and sorrow are in the digits, but I used to cry out of repressed anger and frustation waay more often than I liked. Hasn't happened in years though.

I used to cry all the time when I was a little kid, but less now that I'm an adult. I was always discouraged from crying and was told to "cope," and "be a big girl," so nowadays I'm careful to only cry when I'm all alone.

I remember that I did cry a lot before, during, and after my parents got divorced.

Crying can be cathartic. You release the hormone cortisol in your tears, so it makes you feel better. So if I feel like doing it, I find somewhere private, and cry.

I haven't cried for a while but when I was younger I did all the time now its only when something bad happens or if I watch a sad movie like "The Notebook."
I don't know why some people think its bad to cry I think it helps to have a good howl every now and again.
