If you don't know, tl;dr stands for "too long; didn't read." I really don't understand why people on the internet feel the need to make a comment like this. I understand that not everyone wants to read long articles/comments/threads etc. but if they don't want to, they can just leave. They don't need to tell everyone that they didn't read it. How would you feel if you worked so hard on writing an article and you're only feedback was "too long; didn't read."

I agree completely.someone took the time, made the effort to express feelings or opinions, or explain something, someone else disregards the first person's feelings.

Simply rude.

What's more baffling is that some people seem to be proud of it. What's so good about being so lazy you can't read the whole post, that you feel the need to broadcast it to everyone?

If someone made a post that I thought was too long then I would say something more witty.

I would say "The internet is not something that you just dump something on, it's not a big truck, it's a series of tubes."

I agree with the above; it is just plain rude. Some members of WP start a thread with a post that is way too long for me to read - I hate to be faced with a wall of text; or they simply don't break their post down into paragraphs. However the fact that I find their post "too long and didn't read" it simply means I don't comment on their post and I move on and read the next post.
