(NB: it is the middle of winter in England now)

Does anyone else get so cold outside in the winter that it starts physically hurting?

Hopefully once I get back to my normal weight, this will go away?

You mean that biting feeling you get on your skin? Yeah, I get that too. I'm in Holland, and although it hasn't snowed yet, often my toes feel as if they're about to fall off.

I feel that way, as well. I live in Western Canada, and we're having a very cold winter, this year. It might even snow on Christmas Eve. At least I'm in the Christmas Spirit, now! :D

Yeah, it used to happen to me a lot, especially two years ago when I was standing at the bus stop to go home from work. Practically all that winter, in fact. (I'm also in England - in the south-east.) I try to make sure I'm too wrapped up for that to happen, now.

That has never happened to me. But then again, I live in a sub-tropical climate.

I like the cold.
A log-cabin in Alaska would be nice. So long as it had broadband.

North-Eastern US is kinda cold now, too, but not so much as where some of you are. I mean, there have been plenty of days when I could have walked outside in shorts and not felt a thing. Then again, I don't "feel a thing" until it's below freezing :)

It's really too bad it's so warm and salty around here, because it means that even if it DOES get cold, the nearby ocean will do its best to stop the snow. I think THAT, above everything else, is why winter makes me depressed.

I live in SC, and sometimes it is still too cold for me here. I am very sensitive to any cold, but i love the heat, or can at least tolerate it better. So ya, the 70F is nice for now, but as soon as it drops to 50 again I will be miserable again, and even more so as it goes down farther. Then back up! bc this part of the country can't make up it's mind what temp it is going to be during the winter months.

I prefer being cold than hot. At least when it's cold you can wear warm stuff.

Winter is my least favorite part of the year. It's warmer then usual in PA and that only means that it rains and it gets all muddy. Yuck!
