I don't know that they're really a big interest of mine as such. One time when I went out to take pictures, though, I did find myself taking an unusual number of shots of the outside doors of buildings. They seemed to be the most visually interesting parts of the buildings I was looking at that day.
Is your interest in doors more with the way they look, or with their function, movement, etc.?
Yesterday i went for a walk, there was more than 8 kilometers on the counter when i got home. There are walking routes that are signposted with signs and signs with arrows. Yesterday's walking route was also signposted in a way. They were doors that showed me the way, I like to dwell on things during walks. That was extreme in yesterday's walk. I took a picture of the door with every signage (doors). Not every door, otherwise it was completely a pagan task. Gates also showed me the way. It was a kind of network nodes. What can some people become aggressive if you just take a picture of their front door. No, they didn't run after me with the carpet beater. But swearing gunshots entered my hearing entrances here and there. And when I neatly explain that i am making a YouTube video, someone still insisted that i delete the photo of his front door on my Samsung on the spot. Silence sometimes sounds nice, but a movie with zero decibels is not what I have in mind. There has to be a dramatic sound attached to it, and a rhythm that fits the short duration of each photo. In the end, Carl (Not the Carl who once walked Helga) was kind enough to walk with me. I am not proficient in Italian, or if the text is appropriate i do not put my hand in the letterbox. In my experience, his drama was appropriate. In terms of beauty, the wooden gates that shout for paint were no less than the doors of the stately mansions in the Goirkestraat. Beauty, like many other aspects of life, is very subjective. Being crazy is also very subjective. As crazy as a door is saying in the Netherlands, i think it is not so bad.

Seriously?
Fear of doors?
It's a thing.
Quote:
Entamaphobia or the fear of doors is a debilitating phobia often associated with Agoraphobia and Claustrophobia. The word Entamaphobia is derived from a combination of Greek words ‘Eisodos and portos’ for entrance or entryway and ‘phobos’ which is the Greek God of fear. Fear of Doors Phobia - Entamaphobia
In a way, Entamaphobia is very similar to Agoraphobia or the fear of open doors. In Entamaphobia however, most people are afraid of all kinds of doors irrespective of whether they are closed or open.

Wow! A resurrected thread from 2013.
Sometimes I have an interest in doors when I have a need. Functionality is a must. I once purchased a door that could withstand an F-5 tornado. It was a heavy duty 12 gauge steel door and frame. The door weighed several hundred pounds.

I can imagine all these houses flattened, but their tornado resistant doors remain intact... (Sorry. My wierd thinking).

Now if I have to go in a room with people I try to stay near a door so I can get out quick. I am always noting where the doors are and trying not to compromize my ability to et out before anyone else can. Is this the same type of feeling? It is why I don't go in lifts (Elevators) as I feel trapped in.

Actually, we were hit with tornadoes in 2008 that tore up our property. It took large oak trees a foot or two thick and broke them in two like twigs. Other large trees were uprooted and dropped to the ground. I lost a hundred of my large trees. This is what my front driveway looked like afterwards.
So naturally I built an underground shelter that could survive anything. or almost anything.
