I personally like enclosed malls better. They shield against nasty weather.

I agree.

There is this nice multi-storey shopping center. It's mostly enclosed and I really like it, but for some reason the escalators have no roof and when it rains you need an umbrella to use those escalators. Really stupid design. I feel so much more comfortable when it's completely enclosed.
