Anyone keep Bettas out there? I keep my precious Carter in a 10 gallon he is so active. It is fun watching him swim through the plants.

I had one when I was, like, 5. I named it Christmas Gold even though it was blood red.

My little Carter is turning 3 in the Summer. Red and Blue are the most common Betta color. My Petco had a Saltwater Betta otherwise known as Betta Mahachi. Hello?

I should get one... if I'm going to get one of the only pets my apartment will allow, I want a low-maintenance one!

They fairly friendly as far as fish go?

Or you could get a pet that your apartment doesn't allow and just not tell anyone. Just pointing out another possibility. I would never recommend breaking rules to anyone, but it has worked pretty well for me in the past :)

There very friendly. The bigger the tank the more stable and easier it is.

Don't put two male bettas in the same tank! They'll kill each other.

I named my Betta "belly up". Just kidding. My brother had a Betta and I suggested that name but I never had my own.
