Just a rant about spell check on my tablet.

Aspie becomes aspire. Ocd becomes cod.

And a few other silly things.

I had the same problem with all kinds of words until I realized it was set to French instead of English.

There should be some sort of option to add the word to the dictionary and it won't (annoyingly!) self-correct.

Yeah, you should be able to add words and teach your spell checker to do a better job.

I'm using the Kingsoft Office spellchecker on my Android Tab. It seems to work pretty well, and God knows I give it a workout!

Kingsoft Office is a surprisingly good/capable office app too. :)

While I find it to be annoying at times on my iOS device, if I use a word enough, it seems to learn it(it will still have a red dotted line under it, but if I try and spell it and fail, it will correct it to the word, so I guess it learns it).
I find that as long as my mistakes aren't too bad, it generally helps me type faster on the device, as I don't have to go back and correct words as much.

I'm technically smarter than most spellcheckers I've run into.

Which isn't saying anything about me, as I failed year 11 Englush.
