I used to know someone that had a lot of good characteristics and a lot of bad characteristics.

How do most people and society judge that person?

Considering that everyone has good characteristics and bad characteristics, I would say that he's judged the same way everyone else is judged.

Darn it, you stole my reply! But it's true, it's rare to find someone who is 100% good or 100% bad, most fall somewhere in between

I agree that people have both good and bad characteristics.

However, some people could have more noticeable good and/or more noticeable bad characteristics as mentioned in the OP. With people like that, most people and society might judge them a bit differently. Maybe some might judge them as moody, multiple-personality, weird and such. I think the "bad" side probably gets more exaggerated and such people might be judged rather negatively. Still it depends on how noticeable each of the good and bad characteristics is.

Just my opinion.

True. Mother Theresa was a saint, but I have read that she was pretty short with people and also pretty pushy when it came to fund raising. I've read that even though Hitler was a horrible person, he loved and was nice to dogs. So, there ya go.

Theresa Avila also was a saint, and HER temper was legendary!

Ever see Mother Angelica on T.V.? She certainly did not put up with what she saw as nonsense or silliness!

Mahatma Ghandi was also short with people in certain instances....he expected people to be willing to work and sacrifice, not sit nicely and wait for Enlightenment to suddenly happen!
