I have found that Ibuprophen (Advil) causes "episodes" of uncontrollable anger if I take it. Has anyone had psychological side effects to this drug?

I take it every now and then, and I haven't experienced what you have. If anything it relaxes me.

Do you take any other medication? Maybe it's a side-effect from a combination of different drugs.

ahayes, you have a thread going about insomnia...just noticed reading this that problems sleeping is one of the side effects of ibuprofen :-

Are you taking it for pain? If you try something else, you might sleep better.

I take the advil pm. Ibuprofen doesn't bother me or mess with my mood. If you are taking other meds, that may be why it causing a mood change. Here a link to a site that you can put in what meds you take and what the interaction would be while taking other drugs. http://www.drugstore.com/pharmacy/drugchecker/

Ibuprofen (in Advil or any other medicine) usually works great for me. However, one time, when I was drunk, my head starting hurting. So I made the mistake of taking Advil. That night, I had a really bad nightmare, the kind I haven't had since childhood.

I've noticed the same thing - I seem to be more relaxed, less irritable, even if I didn't have a significant amount of pain in the first place. (Ruling out the cause & effect of it taking away obvious discomfort.)
