The instrument fascinates me... especially because the hand motions seem so much like uncontrolled movements even though they are actually very precise...

Admittedly, I found this video before finding WP and quickly picked up an obsession for moving my hands/fingers around like they do when playing the instrument x.x one of many hand-habits that I have

i can't view the youtube video at work so this may actually be what you posted, but if it isn't, you should definitely check out clara rockmore. i had a download of "the art of the theremin" on my old computer and im sure you can torrent it; it's definitely worth listening to

I would have never heard of the theramin if not for Sheldon Cooper. It seems like an interesting instrument, it is too bad that the polyphonic version is an April fools day prank :(. I would have probably bought one if the price wasn't too high.
