As we have enter BST (at least in the UK) my cat is meowing for food at 16.30 not 17.30 as per usual and I feel it unfair to not feed him.

It's not his fault and I feel guilty for not feeding him.

That is all!

I usually feed my dogs at dark when it's during the late fall and winter, but as it gets warmer and the days get longer I feed them anywhere between 5 and 7. They usually are ok with that and haven't ever noticed much of a difference until lately.

The grey and white one is now bugging the crap out of use starting at about 4:30 because we had been feeding them at 5 for a month or so. He has apparently noticed this and developed an internal clock. We now refer to him as our "watch dog" (watch as in wrist watch not watching out for robbers)

The week before a time change start feeding your cat earlier or later by 15 minute increments. The cat will adjust better!

It will be the end of daylight saving here and my cat will be wanting to go outside around 6.00 at night when its dark ( cats aren't allowed outside at night where I live) so it will be a battle of wills for a few days.

Yeah, how do they enforce a cat curfew?? I have yet to be able to get a cat to do something it doesn't want to do except by trickery, main force and patience.

If you think resetting an animal to the time change is difficult, try resetting a kid. "Time to go to bed, buddy." "No it's not. It's not dark yet!"

Hahaha, that sounds like quite the challenge.

I guess that's the appeal of cats. The only verbal challenge they can give is a thoughtful meowing.

I live in melbourne Australia they don't like cats out at night because they reckon cats kill wildlife 8O
some areas don't allow cats outside at all, there's even areas where people aren't allowed cats and guess what they have a mice and rat plague . :D
