I don't know why after films come out, they are often called mindless entertainemtn, or wish-fulfillmewnt fantasies, or stuff liek that, stuff that never once crossed my mind when I saw them.Is it a mental deficiency I have, orthe wiring of the human brain being deeply flawed, or something, I'm not really sure.

that is because [IMHO] most films ARE [relatively] mindless, and not really entertaining in terms of broadening the mind.

Case in point, the upcoming "Lone Ranger".
The advance reviews say it's utter twaddle. Yet it may do quite well at the box office.
Or how about "The Heat"? A movie with no originality whatsoever, except the buddy cops are women. It's doing great business at the box office because complete morons think it's funny to hear two women cops spout the F word over and over.
