Let's all ask a question here: What do you think of your local library? Is it really a haven for Aspies, as well?
----
I love the Seattle Public Library, when I visit. Their branches always have a wealth of books and videos for me to rent, and I try to make a stop where when I am in Seattle proper.

And yes, Aspies can love the library. I am no exception to this. :)

There are three local libraries that are all related. I only go to one of them, which is not the closest to my place. That one is in the middle of a shopping center and is very nice, new and clean. I like the place very much. It certainly is a haven though it's not that big.

I hate reading, I go to the library to go on the computers when no internet at home. my library can be noisy and can be full on weekends and after work hours. the one I mostly go to is Catford Library. they don't update the place where you can rent games and videos, its full of PS2 games and movies from the last decade.

Hasn't the internet made libraries obsolete?
At least for me, but I'm slightly dyslexic and reading is a lot of work for me.
Reading is much easier on a computer screen.

I'm actually kinda jealous of people who don't have reading difficulties.

The net hasn't made libraries obsolete. Most ppl don't know a) how to use keywords or b) how to evaluate websites. I was trying to teach this concept to grades six and seven and was astounded at how little they knew. Also, not everyone can afford the internet.

I hate our library. It's not only very small, the selection is terrible. The one in Birmingham was heaven! It was huge and they had every sort of book I wanted. I used to go spend hours there. I really miss that library.
