So my therapist decided that I should try phoning the Robinhood Association to get placed on a list for "job assignments" (I'm not sure of the real word) today.

Have you guys ever heard of job placement for disabled people, and have you used it? If you did, did it go well or was it crappy?

Hi! No I have not heard of that, but I have heard of things such as "job coaches" and places where you can look for employment (job agencies)... but I believe that job agencies are for anybody. On the other hand, job coached are for people who are handicapped... like people with autism, like us. I have a job coach. Sometimes she comes to where I work and gets an update on how I'm doing at work. At first she stayed the whole time (like the first week and a half), then she started spacing out her visits and time she stayed). I recommend you try getting a job coach, and whoever offers job coaches, I'm sure will also assist in helping you find a job that is right for you. In my case, I had already found a job two days before I was assigned my job coach... it just happened that way. What I did to get a job (I had no assistance in finding my job), was I put in applications literally all over the place.... over 15 places in the same area. I had a few interviews, and was offered a job at one of the places. Hopefully you can ask for a job coach, because I am very, very happy with the job coach service. She basically comes to see what's going on, and if I'm having issues at my job I just give her a call and she'll show up the next time I work. Again, as for you finding a job, I haven't heard of that service, but if you Google some services (like I know where I live, in the USA, they have VESID, you can apply), and they offer tons of employment services with assistance in finding a job... they also offer services for job coaches. I hope this helped you out! :)
