I was just thinking and I do a couple of weird things that help me remember things. Like when I walk in a room, and I forget what I was looking for, I count down from three, and then I remember. I have no idea why it works for me, but it does.

Another one is when I'm typing in a password. I have so many different passwords for things, that it's hard to keep them straight. But when I'm logging in, and my mind goes blank, I twitch my head to the side, like I'm "shaking it loose", and the password comes out. I didn't even notice I was doing it until recently.

Also, I sometimes do something when I can't focus to remember. I press a finger or two to my temple and close my eyes. I don't do it often, because I just picked it up from watching Psych, and I feel like it's a lot more distracting to have people stare at me. But oddly enough, when I'm alone it does seem to help.

Any other weird memory ticks and tricks out there?

Prince of Persia 1

cd prince megahit ^^

Prince of Persia 2 was something like megayahoo or jippieyahoo. Prince of Persia 2 had as well a copy-securing, with asking for words of the manual. I couldnt find the manual then, but lots of the words I already knew from myself. ^^

Warcraft 2: there can be only one I always only played the orcs, the humans and special the elves sounded a bit weird, but to see the videos I cheated the human campagne. ^^

I found it funny, that beside this one, you hardly had a benefit from using cheats in warcraft, because of the enemy getting the benefit as well, when it was about ressources or fog of war and so on. :)

Lol I was thinking more like weird things you do to remember things. But that works too. I remember in my game days, when I discovered cheat codes 8O changed everything.

I have to know how to spell a lot of odd things like foreign place names in my line of work. When I come across a particularly unusual one, I try to pronounce it like it's spelled (just in my mind--not out loud--don't need more weird looks from coworkers).

For example, Czestochowa = sa-zest-o-chow-ah. Medjugorje = med-jug-or-jeh.

If I need to remember to do something in the next hour or two I take a household ornament or other object and put it in a ridiculous, highly visible place e.g. place a shoe on top of the TV set. If I need to remember to do something before I go to bed I hang something from the bedroom door knob.

I've gave up on trying to remember stuff. If that important someone will remind you sooner or later.

I do that! Only with less exotic words, lol. I usually only have to do it once, which is nice, but sometimes it doesn't work. For instance, I spell "disappear" wrong every single time I write it. I guess that one's harder to "sound out". :?
