Do you IM someone from Wrongplanet? Or perhaps have you met them in real life?

I've made quite a few friends on this website. Recently I went on hiatus for a couple of months without telling anyone, and then when I finally came back, I was swamped with messages from people telling me how much they missed me. I had no idea that I was so important to so many people.

I've made several. Some are just acquaintances who are on my FB and others I message with on FB, some I talk on the phone with. Only one person from here lives near me but I talk to her. We are going to eventually hang out when we can get our ducks in a row.

It didn't work out a couple of times with people who I've met here, but that happens everywhere. Overall though, the friends I've made here I enjoy having. I started talking to one boy right before he got banned and we still talk. In fact, we talk more now than we did when he was here.

I've given up on friends. Now I don't care anymore. If they wanna talk, they will, if they leave, they do. No hurt feelings.

I chatted with a few people from here; some I messaged & some messaged me but I haven't chatted with em lately. It's hard for me to figure out what to talk about & keep conversations going. I got my 2nd girlfriend from here by making a post in L&D asking about how to find a companion but we were incompatible in some key areas. My current girlfriend who I moved in with about 9/10 months ago messaged me after reading alot of my posts.

I correspond with two so far: one guy I pm and or email, the other is a lady I Pm or go through facebook to. Hope to meet both. The lady has atleast one other WP member on facebook.

Earlier I had a lively correspondence with a young lady from another country on another continent from me. But we lost contact ( had a kinda falling out). Wish I could hear from her again.

I never really understood how people make friends on forums like this honestly. Then again, maybe that's part of my problem

Not really as people who express themselves well and to the point seem to get banned for no reason. Like over a month ago now, I was banned for no reason and I hadn't even done anything.
So just goes to show, no matter how nice anyone is on these sort of sites, you'll always get the blame for just sub-appealing your own idea or piece of wisdom. The things that should get looked into more on here don't, like the real threats of online unforeseen bullying.
There should be a real moderator to deal with those people, so get some newer and better ones or I will be leaving.

I have never met anyone from WP in real life. I live in a pretty rural area, so that makes it difficult.

I do IM some people I've met here. I have video chatted w/ a couple. Many of them seem to quit talking to me after a while tho. I have some people I interact with in the forums on a daily basis and would consider them friends.

I am not a very outgoing person by nature, and I'm limited in my online access, but if you're persistent and just keep messaging even if I don't seem to be replying, I'll be glad to be your friend.

There's only 1 person here who lives near me as far as I know, and it turns out we know a bunch of people in common already. We're going to hang out when we get our ducks in a row.

But my dang ducks keep flying away or getting eaten for dinner.

I have made a couple online friends that are like what real life friends could be from here. Never met them in person though. Aside from the two, no, no more friends for me. I am sure it's very possible to make more friends here but I'm not very outgoing usually and a lot of the people I'd like to chat with aren't either. I know if we were all a little bit more social, enough to PM who we are interested in chatting with, some of us would have more friends.
