Haha! I've been reading the XKCD webcomics for a while now, and I've always been able to identify with them, but when I read this one it just took the cake. Now I'm beggining to wonder if XKCDs creator Randall Munroe has Aspergers. 8)

Just found this page which talks about XKCD and mentions Aspergers a bunch of times: http://badwebcomics.wikidot.com/xkcd

^I'm pretty sure it's just supposed to be satirical, not serious.

I think the stick figures are such a big part of those cartoons' charm. It pretty much looks like what I would do if I ever made a web comic. :D

Funny you say that, since this one made me actually consider if he does have it.

I like how the characters don't have faces. That's very cool. 8)

I've never much liked xkcd. Sometimes it is funny, but most of the strips have me thinking "yeah, and?"

<3 XKCD.

As for the picture:
Thats how i felt when i was younger and had this defeatist "Whats the point, she's probably not interested anyway".
Now when i'm grown up, i'm more "Whats the point, she's probably a selfish idiot anyway".

Sorry to bump quite an old topic, but I'm interested in more opinions on this. Any other XKCD fans here? Personally, I think he has a wonderful attention to detail for a start, the guy is clearly extremely intelligent at the very least, has anyone seen some of his chart creations - the self-referential chart for a start (http://xkcd.com/688/)? If anyone has ever read all of XKCD, I think if it was ever possible to diagnose anyone with Asperger's from their webcomic, and if I were qualified to judge, I would diagnose Randall Munroe. In fact, xkcd should practically be the webcomic for Asperger's.

The last time I was at MIT, I bought an xkcd book. I regret nothing.

I just ordered a bunch of stuff off the xkcd store, including the book and several tshirts, it'll take ages to get here to the UK though.
