Admit it, you've had something awesome happen to you; this like my funny stories thread, but with stories of A-W-E-S-O-M-E. Time to turn this up to 11! Here we go.

At FanimeCon 2012 (in San Jose, CA) I attended the Fanime Comedy Club. This one guy was telling jokes about fandoms, and one of them he touched upon was Homestuck, and then the comedian looked at me (I was dressed as a human Scootaloo, on that note) and when I was asked what I was cosplaying, I said, in my most enthusiastic voice ever, "Scootaloo from MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC!" and the whole crowd cheered. He went on to make a funny joke about how something for little girls has found an audience with young males like me. :D

I have to be honest with you, other than "awesome", I didn't understand a thing you said. It sucks being old.

I broke my right ankle, ice skating when I was 9. My parents kept on ordering me to stand up, but I couldn't. This big man lifted me up and carried me off the ice to one of the benches. I thanked him.

I remember the first music contest I entered... I sent in my orchestral piece which didn't quite fit in with the usual electronic/techno music in the "tracker scene".

When the results came in as a graphic screen with fancy writing, my eyes searched for my name and tune... my heart sank as I didn't find it in the 10 winners list.
...until I looked at the very top of the screen where first place was written in a different colour and font from the others - AND THERE I WAS!

I'd just barely beat out the #2 placer who was very experienced so placing even close, let alone winning, was a huge honour!

I was on cloud nine for ages! :D

A few other contests and awards would come & go, but nothing beats your first time. :P
