Six cockatiels at my house. They are so funny.
One of them is a "dwarf bird" meaning he's small and will stay small for the rest of his life. He looks cute, and being scared and flying when people come near is cute, but he hisses at people. He also sings loudly a lot, but the songs are usually nice.
One of them picks at her feathers too much. Used to be a lot more playful than she is now, being the only brid bravne enough to go TO people. Though it was usually for food.
One of them has his feathers picked at too much by his bonded friend after she ran out of places to pick at her feathers that she could reach. Now he looks very scruffy. Will sometimes sing. He used to be scared of everyone, but is less scared even if he still won't go to people.
One of them is just a grumpy bird whose age is unknown and she might die soon because her only friend died of old age back in January. Sometimes she wants attention from other birds, but they ignore her or are mean to her, so she just minds her own business. She also hisses at people and doens't like to come anywhere near them.
One of them was found last year in August. He was first heard by my stepdad's good hearing, and he opened the back door to hear the loud noises some more. Then one of our other birds started making noises, to which he got replies. But then the bird flew out of the tree he was in, and my parents had to go after him in the street and wander into people's gardens before a cat got him. He was eventually brought home, and we kept him after no one answered about having lost a bird. He used to sing a lot before the small bird moved in. He seems the friendliest of the male birds.
One of them is cute and looks happy and playful most of the time. She likes to eat a lot, and also liked to "Spend time" with the above male I just mentioned. If anyone comes near her, she will stay at the edge of the cage looking in that way animals do when they want attention from the people, looking like she is smiling. Even if, when out of the cage, she will back away when someone brings their hand near her, with enough persuasion, she might just step on for a second or two.
