I work in an assisted living facility and to be honest it is not a fancy high dollar place. Last year I think a few residents only got the bags the salvation army gave them so I am putting together little bags for them. I have already decided to give each person a candy cane and chapstick. I think I may make some of my great Granny's fudge and give them each a couple of pieces.

But I don't want to give them just candy, in part because some of them shouldn't have a lot of sweets. The general dollar has simple card games that I could get 2 for a buck. Old maid, crazy 8s, and a couple others. I was thinking those would be good, they are simple enough for those whose minds are like children's minds and might get them to interact more.

Any one else have any ideas? I don't make a lot so I am trying to limit each item to a buck or less.
