Does anyone remember this scene from Star Wars Episode I? Basically, Darth Sidious orders the Viceroy of the Trade Federation to invade Naboo and the Viceroy asks, "My lord, is that legal?" Sidious replies, "I will make it legal!"

I was rehearsing a conversation with a lawyer I know of online, and I was also thinking of Sidious's phrase over and over again in my head, then I started rehearsing, telling the lawyer, "You know, Darth Sidious I bet was a lawyer by occupation, too!" I started thinking of different Episode I themes and was considering what the lawyer's reactions would be, then I hit on "I will make it legal!" and I would think that a lawyer would find that to be a very curious phrase.

Then I rehearsed asking the lawyer, "Can you imagine if a lawyer in real life said that to a client? You know, the lawyer advises his client to do something obviously illegal and the client's like, 'Whoa! Is that legal?' and the lawyer responds, 'I will make it legal!' That would suggest a lawyer that's up to some crud! I bet the client would be wondering at this point if he could pull out safely! Crazy, huh?"

At that point, I realized the awesomeness of "I will make it legal!" and the implications the phrase carries.
