How are you helping raise cancer awareness gents? It is no shave november, so let me hear from you if you are growing a bear, mustache, or goatee for no shave november. Ladies, if you are not shaving your arms, legs, or anything else for no shave november, let's hear from you as well! Let's hear from all of you that are somehow raising cancer awareness and who have lost someone to this disease!

Yup. News anchors, athletes, people from every walk of life are doing it (except for the military, and I think those guys are growing mustaches that are within regs). I had grandparents that had cancer, and have lost friends and girlfriends in the past to it, so of course I am doing no shave november.

That sucks. I had a few family members die from cancer. Not a fun thing.

I haven't been shaving much this month, either, not due to No-Shave November, but rather due to the fact that I sometimes get complimented on my beard.

Methinks it's a great idea and glad to see the awareness raised. Not really an issue with me however as ive worn a full beard almost all of my adult life.

It itches FAR too much to not shave.

Anyway too much profit is being made treating cancer for there ever to be an actual cure.
They could though stand to find a better way to check the prostate. I for one flat out refuse to ever allow myself to be checked in the unpleasant manner they check the prostate right now.

I'm growing a beard... well at least trying to grow one. The first week or so it itched like crazy, but it now it does not itch as much now.

OMG, i honestly just thought that beards were coming back! Being a cancer warrior, the ONLY place I could shave is on and under my chin.Being female, I shall keep plucking! So many weird med side effects!] I think this is a good thing, though.
As you grow your beard, please consider the 3 day 3 night mini AS retreat {AutHaven} February 22, 23, 24, morning of 25th, in the mountains of Colorado. It's only $100 [ lodging, meals, workshops, the whole thing] and you do not need to pay until check-in. Pm me for details.

Honestly, I wish I could return home to Colorado for a while, but I have obligations to a National Guard Unit here in Kansas, and cannot. As for the other posters saying they cannot grow a beard, I am the opposite. I can grow a beard, just not a mustache. haha! I am glad to see that people on here are doing their own things to help raise awareness for cancer. Keep it up guys.

I didn't know this was a thing, but I guess it gives me an excuse not to shave before I go out today. :)

I don't know anyone who has died from cancer, but my aunt had it and my grandfather gets a new form of cancer every month, yet somehow survives.

But I'm not sure I understand the purpose of this. Surely everyone is already aware of cancer? How is not shaving going to help anyone?

Permanent beard-owner here, I look stupid without one. It does need a trim although I guess I can wait til November finishes :p
