I don't like Red Mages. Well, I don't hate them, I just like White Mages better as they're so nice. Okay, so maybe I do like them a little. I've only used one Red Mage, and he was a loser, so that's why I don't like them as much as I'd like to. I still don't know how I got the nickname RedMage... I guess I had FFI on my mind when I joined! :P

8-Bit Theater is more like it. Did you get the nick from 8BT? (Love the Rikku avatar, BTW)

Hahaha, that's ok, I named myself after something that I dislike also... IDDQD is the God mode cheat from Doom, I never use cheats I think they're a cop-out. I've been using Iddqd for a long time as my username on lots of sites, I guess it just stuck.

Actually, my username, "Quatermass", came when I was finally branching out from my main obsession of Doctor Who. I decided to investigate the serials that preceded Doctor Who and find out more about them. The first three Quatermass serials were all transmitted in the 1950s-60's, and established the framework for the three main "alien invasion" stories....

1. The Quatermass Experiment, about astronauts who, on a test flight, get infected with an alien substance, and only one appears to return to Earth, is an example of we go to them. The movie starring Johnny Depp, The Astronaut's Wife, has similarities to Experiment.

2. Quatermass II, about gaseous-based aliens who take over the minds of humans, and who are infiltrating the British government, is an example of they come to us.

3. Finally, Quatermass and the Pit, about an ancient Martian spacecraft discovered to have influenced mankind's evolution, is an example of they were already here.

I chose the username "Quatermass" for the first board I became a member of, the "HackersDotCom" board. I was interested by hackers then (thanks to a book called Underground by Suelette Dreyfuss about Australian, American and British hackers, though I cannot hack worth a damn) but the politics on the boards forced me off eventually. I have used the nick on a number of boards, including the "Darwin Awards" forum. I decided to keep the "Quatermass" nick, as it's more distinctive and obscure than "the Doctor" or "Doctor Who".

Yeah, I think that's it. Red Mage was my favourite from 8BT. Glad you love my avatar Quatermass. I got sick of having avatars of Red Mages, so I decided to get an avatar of Rikku as she's so cute! :D

And she's about your age in that avatar. She's 15 in Final Fantasy X. :)

Yeah, and that's what makes her so cool in FFX! She's 15 like me! But in FFX-2 she's 17.

And wearing skimpier clothing, which leads me to question the logic of a desert dweller wearing what really amounts to a bikini and very short shorts in either a desert (sunburn city) or ****ing cold Mt Gagazet. Eye candy is one thing, but logistics is another.... :?

Yeah, that is just weird. My brother thinks Rikku is hot in FFX-2. I wonder why.

PS: Read my signature.

?Que? What is with the signature? Which part of the Final Fantasy X saga ( as in X and X-2) is that from???

She's hot, but her clothing is a tad unrealistic. One wonders if THAT was her underwear from Final Fantasy X, and her real costume is out to the cleaners because of an accident in the Celsius' engine room involving a lot of engine grease..... :?

Out of all the Final Fantasy leading ladies, my shortlist'd be Terra (Final Fantasy VI), Aerith (Final Fantasy VII), Quistis and Rinoa (Final Fantasy VIII), Dagger (Final Fantasy IX) and Yuna (Final Fantasy X).

Rikku says it in FFX, I'm not sure when though. Oh, and I think Rikku's cute. :D

I was an annoying, rebellious prick when I've joined, and that's why you know me by my username.

"Prick" would not be a word I would use to describe a lady. There are plenty of other terms, but "prick" I would only use for males..... :?
