Just wanted to share this article with you. We have enough problems as it is, without the ones caused by drugs.

Glad I never got involved with drugs. I was prescribed Phenobarbital, and Ritalin at different times when young. They didn't help the problems they were prescribed for, and added problems of their own. My parents had me taken off of Phenobarbital, due to it not working, and to it's side effects, and I took myself off of Ritalin, without telling anyone. I was a little older when taking the Ritalin--early teens, and was old enough to figure out that it wasn't helping and I didn't like the side effects. Rather than face arguments and punishment from my parents, I quietly decided on my own not to take it any more. Many years later I told my father, and he said I had done the right thing, as he had been thinking of having me taken off of it at the time. My parents really didn't want me all doped up, and eventually got the docs to stop prescribing all of that garbage.

I do take health supplements, but even those can sometimes have side effects. When I get unpleasant side effects after trying a new supplement I stop taking it. Fortunately, that hasn't happened often with health supplements.

When dealing with health issues people should put drugs as a last resort, and instead, try healthy eating, rest, exercise, and health supplements before trying drugs. :D

The whole schizophrenia connection with marijuana is overblown. There may be a small connection involving people with a pre-existing disposition to schizophrenia. But that is quite minor compared to the extremely large percentage of cannabis users who have no troubles of the sort.

And memory problems resulting from heavy use, I think everyone already knew that, no new news there.

But still not as significant as the whole assortment of side effects from psychotropic prescription drugs, some very fatal.
How many people die every year from properly prescribed psychotropic meds? TONS!
How many people die from smoking pot? NONE, ever.
