You could say that.
This whole year has been complete s*bleep*t for me and my family financially, psychologically, etc. I expect things to go bad on my birthday. At least I WILL see it coming. I'm used to it by now. It wouldn't surprise me. The faster I get out of this year, the better my life can return to whatever normalcy it once was.

I'm gonna fight this curse and I'm confident that I will prevail.

Wish me luck for the best birthday weekend ever.

Hope you'll have a good one, mate! 22 was an OK age for me. Got my first proper job, met a lot of interesting people there, spread my wings a little. Hope it'll be as good for you as well!

I hope that your birthday will turn out better than the way you expect it to. Don't let yourself start feeling old until at least another year. :P

Wow. I can't remember what I was doing when I turned 22. I think I was trying to get into the U.S. Air Force but my poor vision kept me away. I may have been in a band then. We mainly played in NYC and Westchester. I'm not sure if it was a happy time. I've always been dogged by depression. That's nothing new.

I want to say "happy birthday!", but I'll say "I hope you have a better birthday than you are expecting to have!" instead. :D
