think they actually have both types of gonads (hermaphrodites)... but they "ripen" at different times to prevent self fertilization... cause remember these guys are free-spawners; they just shoot their stuff out into the open ocean.

Bats fly to the left because it's a natural pattern that's built into them so they don't bump into each other when leaving the cave at dusk to feed.

Also, apparently, they fly to the left in the northern hemisphere, and to the right in the southern hemisphere.

The female seahorse gets pregnant and gives birth. The male seahorse scurries along to collect the babies and puts them in his pouch. He has a pouch like a female kangeroo does. The female seahorse will eat the babies so the male has to chase her around and carry the babies till they are big enough to swim out of the pouch themselves. To prevent the daddy seahorse from having a mental breakdown its a good idea to remove the female so he can get some rest.

Also, did you know that no one actually licks cane toads? Apparantly people just harvest the skins (which you don't have to kill the toad to do). The licking thing is a dangerous myth.
