What's this, you ask? Oh, it's a thread where you can post tips about things in your everyday life. Let me begin.......

Pizzas are crazy expensive for what they consist of, but, I'm too lazy to make my own.

So, I just buy the cheapest pizzas in the store (that are basically a crust and sauce with a few flakes of cheap cheese on top), and a container of better cheese from a warehouse store, and just top off the cheap ones with good cheese and any leftovers I have laying around.

Goes from like $10 for a pizza down to like $3, and it's better.

If you have hard water build up on your house or car windows you can take it all off by using auto compound. (Auto compound is used on the paint on a car.) Apply the compound to the window with a soft dry cloth and rub real hard around in circles until the glass is smooth. Note: you may wind up using quite a bit of this stuff to achieve the results you want but it is worth it in the end.

Cuts will heal 10 * faster if you apply honey to the wound and then follow up with a natural oil, after the wound has calloused

If you hate ironing spritz some water on the wrinkly clothes and toss in the dryer on high, most of the wrinkles will come out.
On cold nights warm your PJ's in the dryer.
You can also get pet hair off clothes by putting them in the dryer on fluff for a few minuets.
On hot days give the dog an ice cube to chew, and frozen chicken gizzards make good
"pupsicles " for the dog.

Here's one.

When you're at work and anyone asks you to make them a cup of tea or coffee, make it out of the hot tap and they wont ask you again.

No one ever asks me to make them a hot drink anymore.

for those of us with long but thin [tangle-prone] hair, the way to wash it and make it easier to comb out, is to first get in the shower after a good brushing, wash the hair in sections [left lower, left upper, right lower, right upper, top, back, back bottom] and then with your fingers run through and manually untangle the larger knots then use a brush and run it through the soapy sudsy hair, it will be lubricated sufficient for the rest of the knots to be untangled. then turn your shower head onto Jacuzzi setting and aim it to the top of your head and let the pulses of water rinse and maintain the strands separately, they won't knot up again that way. then when you get out of the shower, wrap a towel around your hair and squeeze it dry, do not agitate it, that just tangles it up again. brush it out again at that point and let it dry.

an easier way to keep your hair de-knotted is to us a neat product called "mane and tail." be careful not to get the stuff on the floor as it is slippery.

If you ever get fleas, you can train them and make a little side show.

^ that is something I'll try. You sure it won't etch the glass?

if you have a trashed old vinyl record, you can salvage one good play [to archive onto tape or digital] from it by first putting it in the sink in a solution of weak dishwater, take a clean sponge and run it around the grooves backwards and forwards on both sides, several times, rinsing it thoroughly with a spray, blowing it dry with an air compressor, playing it to see if there is any improvement, and if there is not, then wetting the record one side at a time and playing it wet, the water acts as a lubricant and suspension agent, allowing the needle to sail through all the molded-in debris relatively quietly. wash the record again after playing or else the crusty stuff that results when a needle travels through a wet groove will turn into rock-hard gunk that won't come out.

Thank you so much! My hair easily mats and breaks all the time. I just wish I had seen your post an hour ago because I just washed my hair. But I'm definatly going to try it next time I wash it. We have a bottle of mane and tail left over from when my brother and sister showed cows. Who knew it could be handy again.
