Why do people have to point it out and stare/laugh?

Its proven that cellphones transmit tumor causing transmissions in/out.
I don't want to be in an entire room full of people using them like in a public place, without defense!
People shouldn't be that surprised, im surprised other people don't!

don't own a CP, and I always wear earplugs to protect me from that hideous noise. But also I never go someplace if I don't have an avenue of immediate escape should the hell being pounded into my brain gets too much for me to take.

If the attention is really bothering you, you could find ways to cover the tinfoil.
Do an image search for "Shiek Hat" and get something like that overtop your tinfoil.

People will point at shiny things, they won't point as comfortably at things that might generally be recognized as "religious apparel".

The stereotype of a madman is of someone who wears a tinfoil hat to keep people from reading his mind. It's practically a figure of speech--people refer to "the tinfoil hats" as synonymous with a paranoid conspiracy theorist.

If you're using aluminum foil to block radio waves... well, I guess it'd work, kind of, but I have no reason to believe that they're actually harmful. They are less energetic than microwave and visible light, and penetrate easily through just about everything except metal, without interacting with it much. That's why we use them for communication. If you're worried about radiation, I think wearing sunscreen to block UV rays is a far more effective use of your time than crafting hats out of aluminum foil to block radio waves.

This is a good idea, I would suggest that you choose a hat which will cover most of your head and then use it. But a word of warning at airports and some shops you might set off metal detectors. You will need to be ready to explain why you have a foil layer in the hat.

I would warn you that to both the untrained and many mental health workers a person who is expressing worry about microwaves and radiowaves and their brain will seem to be mentally ill, it can look like delusional thinking which is seen in schizophrenia.

I would just wear a regular cap that was lined with tinfoil - but that's me.

Or what I would really want to wear in such a situation is this:

Based on TallyMan's response am going to say yes.
I think occasional troll threads like this in Random Discussion are fun.

A common delusion of paranoid psychos is that the CIA is controlling their minds via rays beamed from satellites, or that the CIA is monitoring their thoughts the same way.

So they wear reflective metal foil to foil that.

Hense the running joke about conspiracy theorists being "tin hatters".

But you're a health nut who wears foil to ward off cell phones microwaves to prevent brain cancer, and you want folks to know that your not one kind of nut- you're another kind of nut.

Hmmmm...

I guess you could paint your foil hat purple, put a brim on it, and put a Baltimore Ravens logo on it so folks think that you're a sports nut (more socially acceptable than either a health nut or a conspiracy nut).

But doesnt wearing metal foil on your head make you into a walking lightening rod?

Arent you just attracting more danger than you're fending off?

You'd never fit it over the top of that huge hat in your avatar.

Maybe that's where I've been going wrong all these years.
