The desert was the apotheosis of all deserts, huge, standing to the sky for what looked like eternity in all directions...
Recalled that from memory, you could say I'm a bit of a fan. (I ought to put that in my profile)

Edit: Just noticed you changed all your personals, cute

Nice. You know, they're moving forward to do an adaptation of The Dark Tower, though I dunno whether it be a series or a movie (the former's better, IMO).

Here's the link to tthe article.

I always think that the first movement of Dancing Mad would make a good title music, while the more solemn and slow part of the fourth movement should be the credits.

Think about the Dune miniseries, compared to the David Lynch movie. Miniseries are better than TV, and maybe if this guy did Lost, he might not f*** it up.

Ahhh Dune....

That was the best role of Patrick Stewart's career.

If it's double the quality of Dune as a miniseries then it may be just barely watchable.

The Dune miniseries wasn't the best that could've been done, but the spirit was there more than the film. The film got the epic quality right, but left out some of the better plot-points. One of the best things done in the miniseries was the addition of the Irulan subplot. Wasn't necessary, but it was actually good.

I didn't hear any comment on my choice of theme music for The Dark Tower. :x

I have all the books up to Wolves of the Calla.

Found one that I think looks better.

Your musical choice is impeccable Quatermass.

I just imagine, over a shot of the Dark Tower, the captions appearing with the first bit of Dancing Mad, but with each episode (or at least saga), the Dark Tower gets just that little bit closer, just like the covers, until it is looming over the screen at the end of the series.

During his gunfight in Tull, when the mob swarms him I was thinking something in the spirit of the "Forest Battle" from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, but somewhat more desperate and soul-shattering, as he is gunning down people without guns (people who are out to kill him, yes, but still...). I can just imagine the teaser for a second episode (assuming they make it as a half-hour series), like the Doctor Who new series, but with elements of flashback from Walter's visit to Tull. I can just see a shot of him, saying to the people over the corpse of Nort, "I'll show you all a wonder!! !", and then Nort's eye opening horribly.

I wish. Maybe we could collaborate on a screenplay. I'd let you do most of Wizard and Glass....

Steven doesn't just write horror. The Dark Tower is more Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Western
