I made a topic like this about half a year ago, but since it's been a while, I decided to make a new one!

This is actually my house! It sits on 3/4 of an acre, which has a nature preserve including three lakes and a river. The house itself is 5,600 square feet and we purchased it at $410,000 (I forgot to add the price on it).

Here's house number two, a very common one here:

Here's house number three, harder to find but still around:

Here's house number four, the most common house in the state:

And last but not least, here's house number five, a fairly rare one:

So what would you estimate these houses would be in your state or country? BTW, all these houses are located in central Indiana.

Those are just like prices here in Houston, except the first house would be around $250,000 in Houston.

It all depends on where in Wyoming they were. In Laramie they would all be well over a million dollars. In the smaller towns or Cheyenne's suburbs you could get as low as $300,000-$400,000.

You've got a pretty impressive house there, Lightning!

You're Avatar still gets me into cutsie glee mode everytime I see it!

Yes, you Americans really live in the lap of luxury! Your house (the first one) would probably cost over £1.5m in this part of the UK. That's nearly $3m (US). The second one would probably be around £450,000 that's getting on for $900,000 (US). A basic 3 bed semi-detached costs over £200,000 here, you wouldn't get a flat/apartment for under £120,000 in this part of the UK.

Of course, wages are different in our two countries, as well as cost of living, but unfortunately we're a small island with a government keen to make it as crowded as possible.

Thanks! We just got it built last summer so it has all the latest features! It's awesome.

Yep, you gotta love Lola! Oh, and I've been meaning to say that your avatar is so cool! I love the whole pun on the asps. :)

Yup! I've had that one in my head for a while, I'd love it as a T-shirt! (and that's an ACTUAL European Asp there!)

I don't know much about real estate, though...

Your $70,000 house would be worth about $300,000 here. You don't want to know what the others would be.

Awesome! I think there are some asps at our zoo, too. I'll take a picture of them next time I go, add the pun, and PM it to you! Of course, I still have to wait for it to warm up...

The prices are about the same in my small town in Texas.

My sister lived in northern Indiana for 5 years and the houses were fairly low cost there.

Yeah, I've noticed Texas and Indiana prices are really not that different on housing. The same goes for Georgia.
