I fart, no joke, like, a whole bunch. Like, 20 times a day. I think it has to do with my Asperger's Syndrome. Am I the only aspie here that farts this much every day? No wonder people don't like aspies, they fart 20 times a day!! ! Or at least I do.

I wondered why this forum had a funny smell.

I have never actually counted how many times I fart per day, so I can't tell you whether your fart level is normal or not.

Are these farts accompanied by any -- ahem -- leaks? If so, you may have a medical problem.

I do not think that your farting is caused by your Asperger's. Frequent farting is not part of the diagnostic criteria for autism. Just because you have Asperger's and fart a lot, that does not mean that all people with Asperger's fart a lot.

BTW, I think you should totally change your username to "fartalot." It would be really funny.

Everyone farts, be it Michelle Obama or the pope. But because most people around you, wont most likely not fart, while you are around, you simply dont get it, that they fart just as much, as you do. ^^

I never heard of Aspergers causing farting but it's possible that some medications like psych meds that Aspies are on cause farting.

Been there, done that. Either speak to your doctor or speak to a dietician and get some advice. In my case I had to make some changes to my diet and my eating habits and, so I've been told, most causes of excess wind are nothing to worry about.

often when "you" have lots of gas, it means "you" need to poop. (but not all the time)

there is a song called "boobsalot" and there is a broadway play on tour called "spamalot" so it stands to reason somebody new to these forums should dare to name themselves "fartsalot."

But seriously, farts has nothing to do with Aspergers.

seasoning of the hamburgers may be the engineering behind the gaspergers in the reasoning of the aspergers. IOW well-done is better than rare, for aspies to avoid the glare, of the olfactorily sensitive social faire.

It's interesting you'd mention this bit about farting a lot. In the Korean autism movie Marathon (2005) the protagonist farts a lot much to his family's dismay.
