In most of your night dreams are you the same person as in reality? Or maybe someone else? Someone you would want to be? Are you even human? Or maybe you are some other being? Something supernatural? Like a devil? Or maybe angel? A God? Or maybe just a plain animal?

Personally I am a demon in the majority of my dreams. At first I can consider myself a human (with my personality) but usually at a point of dream I discover I am in fact a demon that forgot about its nature and I have some control over the dream reality but the power source is evil. I try to hide the power and pretend I am human as long as I can. I use my power only if I am forced to or when lose control over it. I don't want to hurt people - it is a personality trait that is against my demon nature - but in fact I am quite happy being the demon. At least I know I am strong enough to protect myself and the others and I am not afraid of other demons that come to fight me for some reason. I am equal to them.

Added because of some misunderstandings:
I am not asking if you think like someone else. I ask who you are. What is the role you play? What is the story of your character? Is it the same as the past of the real you? Is it living the same life?
If you are yourself but you live another life option 2 is right. Option 1 is for people who usually live the same life in dreams as they do in reality. Same house, family, school.

Last night my dreams were full of androids! Having watched a few episodes of "Real Humans" followed by a Black Mirror episode featuring an android of a woman's dead husband with a personality created based on his social network posts. Creepy.

I think it would be interesting to be someone or something else, but as far as I know I have never been anything but myself.

I sometimes dream where I'm running to something or from something & then stumble/trip & start running on my hands & knees which occasionally turn into 4 legs like an animal before I wake up. I'm always myself except for that but there may be very weird things going on that are causing me to act different due to the circumstance; like I may be doing dangerous impolsive stuff because I'm afraid for my life.

By "me" you all mean the good old you that you are everyday? Are you always the Joe (or whatever your name is) that lives in your house, meets your family and friends and goes to your school/job? Don't you have random dreams about living somewhere else, having other family and friends and experiencing stuff you wouldn't experience as the real you? You can still have your personality and body in the dream, but your life is other so you are someone else.

Yeah, but my identity is always me.I never could imagine being another person, and if I imagine myself as an animal.I'm an animal thinking as me.
Once I dreamed I was a bug watching people eat pot roast,it was a real boring dream.

It depends. Most of the time I'm me. The insecure guy who has no confidence in himself. Sometimes there's an alteration in that I'm still the same person but the world around doesn't coexist with being myself. I'm not scared of people anymore and they actually like me back. At times I can control the outcome of my dream and the path it takes. Sometimes i have supernatural powers like rewinding time (of course), flying, becoming invisible etc.

Other times i switch between being myself, usually a casual observer, to the actual person I'm observing. that's made for some bizarre dreams.

In my dreams I am a demon thinking as me. I look like me, I think as me, I even live my life. But I am a humanoid demon living between humans and trying to forget its past. Not a human. I was thinking it is somehow related to my AS. I was always different and acted incorrect while trying to fit in. That's the same thing I do in dreams as the demon. I just got some super powers as a bonus and there is more enemies I must face in dreams.

That's what I am talking about. I am not asking if you think like someone else. I ask who you are. What is the role you play? What is the story of your character? Is it the same as the past of the real you? Is it living the same life? (I will add this part to 1st post)

I dream I am in all kinds of exotic places. I also dream that I'm at the edge of a precipice and am about to be thrown off a cliff. I am, usually, a weaker version of my true self.

I seem to always be around an obstacle,or on a steep road.Mostly strangers,I always thought it odd I'd dream of people I never met.My role is to survive and learn. The best dreams are of libraries,I can smell the sweet tannin smell of the books and it's quiet and I have all the time in the world.I can see how it mirrors this world but is a separate reality all it's own.

Hmm, I see... Well you know what Freud would say about that don't you ? If you do please tell me, cause that's pretty weird!

Kiriae,
I guess I didn't understand the question totally.

In dreams I can be a wide variety of characters, but most tend to be distorted (and sometimes very distorted) versions of things I have actually been or done. But these characters get spit out at random chronologically. One night I am something recognizably like a young student, and then in another a older soldier, etc. But they take place in different places and environments then actual places. And the people I interact with can be completely new, or a mish-mash of people I have known, but with a randomness.

My always being myself is that my personality/identity is the same. I don't do much in a dream that I wouldn't do in reality (by that I mean the type of choices I make). I can sometimes do fantastic things however, like fly, but that is usually the result of vivid dreaming and trying to consciously control the dream.

I have usually had recurring dreams as well, but sometimes long intervals between them. I have had a few different ones over time. They last a certain period, fade away and then a new one takes its place.

I have never been a supernatural character per se, that I can remember.
