Hmm, I see... Well you know what Freud would say about that don't you ? If you do please tell
me, cause that's pretty weird!
Kiriae,
I guess I didn't understand the question totally.
In dreams I can be a wide variety of characters, but most tend to be distorted (and sometimes very distorted) versions of things I have actually been or done. But these characters get spit out at random chronologically. One night I am something recognizably like a young student, and then in another a older soldier, etc. But they take place in different places and environments then actual places. And the people I interact with can be completely new, or a mish-mash of people I have known, but with a randomness.
My always being myself is that my personality/identity is the same. I don't do much in a dream that I wouldn't do in reality (by that I mean the type of choices I make). I can sometimes do fantastic things however, like fly, but that is usually the result of vivid dreaming and trying to consciously control the dream.
I have usually had recurring dreams as well, but sometimes long intervals between them. I have had a few different ones over time. They last a certain period, fade away and then a new one takes its place.
I have never been a supernatural character per se, that I can remember.
