Your mission, should you choose to accept it as follows.

Begin collecting discarded tobacco butts from where they have been thoughtlessly tossed into public places by uncaring smoker. While collecting, maintain vigilant documentation whenever possible of those responsible for this pollution. If you can verify residence location, wait until you have collected a nice quantity of filthy butts. ( large garbage bag would be nice), and under cover of darkness and stealth, keeping self out of harms way, deposit contents of said bags of butts onto the property of the offenders. Make sure to disperse liberally, scattering over as great an area as possible, making their chore of removing their filth as time consuming and tedious as possible. If it is seen that offending party is dumping ashtrays from automobiles into public places, feel free to deposit your bounty into any open automobile windows as opportunity permits.

Keep personal safety in mind always. If you can keep video or photographic documentation of them throwing their butts around the public landscape, it may provide a small amount of defense should law enforcement become involved.

Really? Doesn't it bother anyone that you cannot go 50 feet in a public area without having your eyeballs peppered with 500 butts? And birds eat these nasty things. Don't you want to throttle someone when you see a car window or door open and an arm stick out dumping 100 butts onto the ground. This is not a vendetta against all smokers, just frustration with those who casually litter the environment with this nastiness.

There was a break are behind where I used to work about 10 years ago. An area about 15sq ft with a picnic table and probably three containers for smokers to throw their butts. I spent just one week with a 32 gallon garbage bag picking up butts on my hands and knees before work and during each break period. That 32 gallon bag was filled in three days. And this was just one outside break area of maybe 30. Anyplace I go I can find this same situation. A butt receptacle sitting practically empty while the surrounding area has 25 butts per sq ft.

Doesn't this bother anyone else? I actually did, one time at a Walmart in Florida watch a man dump his ashtray in the parking lot and walk into the store leaving his window partially cranked. Guess where those butts ended up? I have done the same thing with people littering. It doesn't bother me a bit not to do it in their face given the fact that some idiots would pull out a gun and shoot someone for doing exactly what they themself just finished doing.
