What was the meanest thing someone has ever said or done to you?
What did you try to do as a result of the situation in best trying to deal with it?
What did you learn from the situation?
If the situation where to have repeated again, what would you have done differently?

Example:
For me: I met a girl four years ago that I liked at the time and wanted to get a relationship with. She ended up using me, being mean, pushing me around, manipulated me because she saw that I liked her and was a target to try to get stuff from. I was naive at the time due to lack of confidence and social skills and kind of allowed her to push me around in the hope of getting laid and possibly getting into a relationship. I learned that people will often push you around and take advantage if you let them and not be assertive. I also learned how to read early signss of narcissists and people that take advantage of on articles and youtube videos off the internet. If this situation were to have repeated again, god forbid, I would have made the decision to cut someone out like that immediate or have stood up for my self at the first signs of being taken advantage of, stood my ground and told her I am not putting up with that for a second, and will immediately leave her as a friend if she did it again.

When I was a kid a grown man beat me up because I was being cheeky to him.

There wasn't very much I could do about it at the time because he was about three time my size, I just had to wait until his friends got him off me.

I learned to not pass comment on how long someone was taking with the vinegar in the chippy at 2am on a Saturday morning.

Once I befriended this new girl at school who I became close friends with. For a while I was the only friend she had, but the moment she got some new friends she started ignoring me at school. We'd still hang out after school though. After not too long she'd say some very mean and hurtful things to me, and would completely exclude me and tried to steal my friends. Not quite sure what I'd say I learned from it, but that people are willing to be mean and use you in order to get what they want? If the situation were to repeat again I would have cut off contact when she started ignoring me at school.

so many to choose from! One that's really stuck with me was when I was 5 and some boys threw me in the dumpster (it had just been emptied). When I started crying, they said they'd throw my mom in too so I wouldn't get lonely.

I can see how that could have upset you. Not grown men should beat up a kid no matter what kind of cercumstance. Have you ever thought of writing him a letter?

I'm sorry to hear that. I would have been upset if that happened too. She was probably a narcissistic, had low self of steam.

My mum verbally abused me the entire summer of 1998 when I first had Depression and Anxiety. I'd go back to that time and tell my mum to leave me alone to live the life that I wish and that the house that I was living in wasn't the safe house and that Stepping Stones - my clubhouse was a lot safer for me.
