I think there are quite a few good things about Walmart- low prices, and larg selections. However, I find whenever I go there, I find I'm always frustrated! I hate the services, lack of helpful employees, and long lines because there is never enough open cashiers. For these reasons i find u try to avoid going thete ad much ad possible. Do often get frustrated when you go to Walmart for these reasons as well?

++I try not to go to Walmart very often because of how they treat employees, and the low wages they are paid. I have never had a problem with service other than not enough cashiers. I usually use self check outs.

ugh, i live right across the street from a super-walmart, so i have to go there a lot. i hate it because there is NEVER a good time to go. the morning is way too early (who wants to wake up before 10???), the afternoon has way too many people, and the evening has... weird people. ive never had to deal with rude employees (at least, not yet) though there are quite a few incompetent ones that aggregate me
also, yes, the new self-checkout lines are a blessing.

I avoid it for the same reason as I avoid Aldi's. The other customers. I wouldn't mind long lines if it weren't for ignorant parents yelling obscenities at their children or mutedly histrionic women who tell sob stories behind you in line, trying to get you to pay for things for them, people leaving their carts in the center of an aisle as they walk off, bumping into you when there's a whole aisle there... ALWAYS WITH THE BUMPING... or, my favorite, men who approach you in the parking lot, then, when your long-haired husband turns around and they realize he's not a woman, too, they take off. Nope nope nope.
I'd rather go without things than go into stores with customers like that.

Yeah, I don't like how they pay the employees low wages either. It trickles down to the costumers as poor service. The Walmarts where I live, they will help you but I always get a bad vibe. Today, I went to one to get an mp3 player, she was helpful in leading me to one, but at the same time she gave me the vibe that I was being an irritation to her time. Then she told me they were all out and she was a snot about the fact that I was dissapointed that they were out of stock, make a mocking remark, instead of "I'm sorry that we are out, we will probably have it restocked in x day." I was mad.

The self checkouts are nice, however, when it comes to having to wait in a line for one, it is way slower then waiting in a normal line because many people are clueless in how to use it.

Agree that it feels like there's never a good time. I find during the day, like you said, it's crowded. However in the evenings, it's also crowded. At night, there are less people but there are also less people at the register so the wait is almost just as long. I agree the employees see incompetent. It makes me wonder how they even passed the assessment test to get the job.

I'm amazing you've only been to one twice in your life. I thought Walmart has taken over the world by now.

Target is nice. Clean, somewhat upscaled, not as crowded, okay service, and not too pricey. I find it so funny that your not sure if you ever been to one. I practically see a Super Walmart now in every US city and town these days. Do you live in the USA?

I hate the long lines. I mean they have SO many spots, but never enough cashiers. Out of all of them, there are only three or four on each side.

I go there less and less because I dislike Wal Mart's business practices. When I have gone there I've never even asked for help in any of the departments because I feel like I'm unecesarily increasing the burden on already underpaid employees.

I don't like to go to Walmart either, due to their business practices and how they tend to treat the employees. If I ever go to one it's usually because I got dragged there by a friend, not because I particularly need anything from one. They have a tendency to destroy local businesses and drive down wages, and I'd rather not be a contributor to that by shopping there.

I worked at CrapMart for two years cleaning floors & doing other custodial stuff. There were some things I liked about the place but their main problems are all related to the way management runs it. The 1s running things at the stores worry about looking good for the 1s at the top by finding ways to cut back on employees & get more done with the few that are left except for the 1s that belong to minority groups who management never made work because they were afraid of Affirmative Action lawsuits. & the managers at the top only care about how much money they get.
