Yeah, today marks the 20th anniversary of the most mondo bizarro news event of our time, the O.J. Simpson chase.

Where you were when it happened? I really cannot remember, I was only 7, but it cut into the Knicks/Rockets NBA Finals game, so I remember fuming over what was happening.

I was working at General Motors when that happened, just as I was when 9-11 happened. I don't think it was mondobizarro, but the news coverage of the story was over blown and exaggerated.

I remember watching it on TV. He was a coward for murdering his wife. My mum and I watched it together. I was just finishing off my first year of college at the time.

I was watching a golf tournament when it was pre-empted by the OJ Simpson chase in his white Bronco.

I thought: Why were this showing this? He will get caught, for crying out loud. What is this world coming to when my golf tournament has to be interrupted by this nonsense. I was really pissed that I had to watch a bunch a cops chase a white Bronco at 30 MPH (or less).

I could understand it if the president was assassinated, or if man landed on Mars--but to preempt my golf tournament because of a freakin' chase in a Ford Bronco which was a foregone conclusion anyway--I thought this was beyond ridiculous, and that the world was going to pot.

This was the real start of the tabloid era in news coverage.
