Today, I am ?celebrating? my 1000th post on WP. What a long, strange trip it?s been.

I joined WP on Dec 16, 2012 several weeks after first learning about Aspergers. At the time, I was taking an online Introduction to Psychology class (from Yale) and during one of the lectures, the professor mentioned Autism and Aspergers. I am not certain why, but I started reading up on Aspergers and had one of those ?Aha? moments.

Six days later (on Dec 22, 2012), I posted my first topic, Do I have Aspergers, or simply poor social skills? LONG <click>.

I then spent the next 4 months in deep self-discovery. I started to read everything I could about Aspergers and Personality Disorders. Because I was unemployed at the time, I must have spent at least 40 hours a week reading and journaling. During that time, I met with a therapist who recommended a psychological evaluation. In April 2013 I was formally diagnosed.

Immediately after (on Apr 25, 2013), I posted my second topic, Just Diagnosed, yet somewhat Skeptical (Long) <click>.

I suppose this pretty much sums it up. So, fast forward to today (over a year since my diagnosis). I now have the privilege to post a Custom Rank. So, officially, the Rocket is ?Lost in Space?.
