I've never had any wisdom teeth emerge, and I'm 53 years old.

There's no evidence that wisdom teeth have even formed.

Perhaps that's why I am the way I am today.

mine have.
the doctor says they've emerged in such a way he's never seen before in an adolescent. only in adults.
i was supposed to get them off around april but for...reasons parents keep postponing it. ill definitely get them off before the start of august though. no doubt.

Fortunately not yet. And my dentist says I have only a "seed" of one of them (he could see it on x-ray photo) but it has no chance to grow properly. It is going to be stuck deep under my skin and I shouldn't worry about it unless it causes a problem.

Mine were removed...

I thought they broke my jaw when they took mine out.

I couldn't open my mouth for two weeks to eat and my face swelled up like a football.

The whole experience was utterly horrendous.

3 gone, but the remaining one has never given me any problems.

Then according to our folklore,your life is not even half over,you are going to live to be a very old man.I still have one that hasn't emerged,one thats sort of sideways,and two removed.So I should hit a hundred easy. As long as that one doesn't drop down any time soon.

Mine started coming in when I was 13. I had to get surgery at the hospital to have them all removed. I wasn't happy about it because I had gotten ear surgery not that long ago and it wouldn't be the last time. Also it was just before Christmas. We had to rearrange my exam schedule so I could get it finished before the surgery and the holiday vacation. Fortunately, I healed up fast enough to enjoy Christmas and I got one last visit from the "tooth fairy" when I put the wisdom teeth the doctors gave me under my pillow and received a generous amount of money. I heard some other people have a really bad time recovering, but I seemed able to spring back quickly from such things no matter what.

My son had his all taken out at once,they were awesome about it.It only took an hour and he recovered great.We went to an oral surgeon for it,that's what I would recommend.I had one of mine removed at the same place,he had it out in less than a minuet,it was pulled ,not cut out like my son's. I was amazed.No problems at all afterwards.I'd had one removed before at a dentists,and he had me in a head lock jerking and pulling,it was not fun.

Mine was horrendous as well, one side of my mouth got infected and had to be packed for a couple of weeks. Ouch!! ! There all gone now. All I could eat was homemade French fries and liquid foods, eventually I got board of that limited pallet and had a soft hamburger cut into small pieces.

And they pulled them to avoid pain???

I had to have mine removed before I went into the Army. They wouldn't let me in until I had them taken out...because they didn't want to pay for it once I was on their payroll.

Mine started coming in when I was in my mid-20's.

Unfortunately, they are impacting the teeth in front of them.

They need to come out. Unfortunately, when I've had the time, I haven't had the money, and when I've had the money, I haven't had the time.

I do need to get to a dentist sometime soon, though, as the cap for the impacted tooth in front of one of them has broken and needs to be replaced. ~sighs~

I was born to have 28 teeth, apparently. There's no evidence that wisdom teeth ever existed in my mouth.

As of now, I have 22 teeth.
