Like in the title. Do you have a diary? Do you like writing down your thoughts on the sheets of paper? Or maybe you're keeping abreast of the times and your diary has a form of a blog? I started writing many times (and also I started keeping a blog several times) but every time I felt bored with it after some time and I resigned. But I am going to start writing again. What about you?

I used to have a diary, but put it aside after I got bored with it. After about 6 years I started writing another one, but it didn't last long. Now I just randomly write down my feelings on random pieces of paper whenever I feel like it.

Diaries can be too dangerous to keep, depending on what you write in them...;)

I can't keep a diary. It just seems too formal to me. Plus everything starts to sound fake somehow as I write it down.

I too have lots of little pieces of paper with my thoughts on them all over the place, though.

I blog and journal my dreams.

I've tried to blog in the past and gotten bored quickly. It helped me to have a focus. If it's just about whatever's going on e.g.

"Dear Diary.

Today I went to the supermarket and picked up some veggies for a stir fry. It will be very yummy. My arm itches. I have dry skin. I wonder what it would be like to be able to breathe underwater..."

then I really can't stick with it. My attempts at generic blogs weren't that mundane (usually it was more random thoughts about my life and the world around me peppered with a lot of daily events) and I still couldn't do it.

It's true, sometimes it may be dangerous. :?

When I was a child, I was only 8 or 9 in that time, one day I hit upon an idea to start a diary so I found a thin copybook without cover and with only a half of sheets but then my love for details apperared and I decided to write down EVERYTHING what I did that day, including cartoons watched by me and what I ate for breakfast but I realized it's impossible to write with so many details so I put the diary to the cabinet in my room, resigning from writing. After some time when I had already forgotten about it, my mother found it and despite my protests she grabbed the diary and read. :? There wasn't anything that could compromite me, she could read my school composition as well (apart from the fact that I always truly hated when somebody not being my teacher read my homeworks) but I felt humiliated.

I've kept a diary for thirty years. There isn't an entry every day because I only write something down when it needs saying but 2/3 of my life is in those notebooks. If the apartment was burning down the order things would be saved is:

Girlfriend
Diaries
iPod
Laptop
Everything else

I manage to keep a diary although some days there's not much to write about !
I find it therapeutic to look back and remind myself of a few happy occasions
or situations I can maybe learn from.History is one of my interests so it figures
that I should record my own.

I used to, but haven't done so in years. However, I do discuss the daily activities of my cats on the Siamese site I frequent.

I keep a diary and have done on and off for the past 7 years. It was only when i began to live alone that i was able to start keeping a diary as when i lived with other people (family then boyfriends) i had no privacy so felt it wasn't 'safe' to keep a diary.

My thoughts are very private and i would hate to think that someone had read my diary and discovered my true feelings about many things. If i want someone to know how i feel then i will say something, but somethings are left unsaid for a reason.

I'm going to start writing a diary tomorrow and to keep it for all my life, like L. M. Montgomery or queen Victoria but I can't motivate to do this too much :D I've bought a diary many months ago and I'm hiding it in a cocktail cabinet in my room :D

I've just recalled my blog I had kept for very short time more than two years ago: http://web.archive.org/web/200502141152 ... g.onet.pl/ :D

Unfortunately it's in Polish but the posts concern: technigues of lucid dreaming, my contests mania that was starting in that time, my cousins, my problems with computer I was having then (I had downloaded a virus when I was watching chronophilia porn out of curiosity   ) and Tarot deck I was creating on my own instead of preparing to the New Year's Eve party like normal people would do :D

I used to when I was little until the people in my family kept trying to read it. Never really had any privacy so I stopped writing in it.

I started a paper diary the day I turned 13.

As of today, it's still into effect and I am in the slow process of digitizing (scanning) all of my past diaries for future viewing :)
