I never knew this before. I have always fed my dogs grapes. I have never seen a dog that didn't love grapes. I never dreamed i was harming my babies.

Yep, grapes and raisins are bad for dogs. I didn't realise that one for a long time either.

Also onions, and chocolate.

http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/virtual-pet-behaviorist/dog-behavior/foods-are-hazardous-dogs

The article goes into detail on each item listed below but here is the ASPCA list itself of things that are not good for dogs..

Avocado

Bread Dough

Chocolate

Ethanol (Also Known as Ethyl Alcohol, Grain Alcohol or Drinking Alcohol)

Grapes and Raisins

Hops

Macadamia Nuts

Moldy Foods

Onions and Garlic

Xylitol

A note about chocolate: Our Petco store here sells miniature chocolate chip cookies for dogs, but the chocolate chips are actually carob chips. They taste like chocolate but are not harmful to dogs. Grocery stores sell carob, too.
