Change of the name

Is there anyone who did this or wanted to? If I left the country, I'd do this to avoid being recognized by anyone who could know me from Poland and would want to google my name - I don't like my name, it's such a common one, I'd love to have a really unusual one, like Druzjanna, Iryda, something like this. What a pity people can't automatically change their names after they turn 18.

First, it's real easy for someone to make a joke out of my name, the way it's often pronounced in English.

Second, every single time I meet someone new, for as long as I can remember they ask me; "do you prefer this variation of your name, or that one?"

And my answer is always the same: "Either." I really don't give a damn which one they use.

I do understand why they'd ask but it's still supremely annoying.

But still, I don't know if I'd want to change it because I'd likely go with a name that seemed really cool for the time being, but would seem real stupid later on.
