I meant to post about this earlier, but I have been preoccupied with school and such.
I do taekwondo, have been doing it since I was 11. When I got my red belt, I was invited to go to a seminar to learn how to be a taekwondo referee, meaning I would learn how to ref sparring matches. I jumped at the opportunity, it sounded like fun. I went to the seminar, learned the basics, hand signals, penalties etc. we had to do a written test, and a practical evaluation.
Last week, I went to a tournament and did my practical evaluation, an examiner watched me, and marked me on different components, on a scale of one to ten. And guess what? I passed!! !
Now I can get paid to referee at a tournament. They provide lunch and everything.
