Hear it in your head or as if it's actually playing?

Sometimes I do that as well. That's how some people become composers.

Music that stays stuck in your head and keeps playing over and over and over and over and over again might be OCD. I get it all the time.

Schizophrenics hear voices, not music.

It happens to me all the time.
I've read about musical hallucinations in connection with temporal lobe epilepsy, but they seem to happen whether or not the patient is thinking about music.

Kris, I can sort of see music as well. Particularly with twisted up tech basslines, I can see them twisting and wrything over eachother, I can feel spacial direction where things jump out and arc or baloon out of the bottom frequencies for a lower stab; not quite like I'm seeing it on sonar but a little bit of many things. Music can put a lot of visuals in my head in terms of where the feel takes me - nothing new for most people, but the fact that I feel music on a real kinesthetic level and then have those kinesthetics transfer to visual - something's heightened with me, just not sure exactly how it works (auditory processing -> kinesthetic senses -> visual cortex?).

It happens to mee too. But it's normal and I guess everybody has it. I can also "listen" to other people's voices in my head this way - shreads of conversations as if they were recorded. And I can't turn them off :?
