2 years ago someone I know was given a 10 year bar ban in my town because they went to jail and for bad behaviour in bars.

However I have learned that he will be let back in bars come February of next year.

How come bar bans be overruled like that?

Where they banned from all bars or just a specific one?...Also lots of times sentences/penalties are reduced for all kinds of things, so it would be impossible to say exactly why their ban was reduced from the initial 10 years not sure that means it was 'overruled' though, perhaps just reduced.
