Myth: All special school buses are short buses.

The fact is, many special school buses are just as long as an ordinary school bus.

Also not only kids with handicaps ride special buses. It's common for gifted and magnet kids to ride them.

I hate the stigma that comes with riding a short bus. It doesn't mean we're all ret*ds or whatever. There have been kids with many different kinds of disabilities on my bus. I don't see why there even need to be special buses for special needs kids.

I can vouch for that, I have been on a long specual bus its just like a normal bus only has the wheel chair door on the side and that extra open wheelchair buckle spot,
